Evie Miller Yoder, author of Eyes at the Window, recently published her second novel, Everyday Mercies.

The novel tells the story of Carrie, whose proposition to grow organic vegetables clashes with her dairy-farming father's ideas about working the land. Miller Yoder takes a lively look at the tension and humor of family life, focusing on everyday interactions between four generations of Mennonite women.

Yoder Miller grew up in Kalona, Iowa, and graduated from Goshen College in 1966. She received an M.A (1994) and Ph.D. (1998) from Ohio University. Although she has published a variety of stories, poems, and essays, she prefers novel-writing in historical and contemporary settings.
