    Thank you Ervin. Your excellent essay could have been written only by a person engaged with the literate voice, knowledgeable of theatre, understanding of dramatists, and articulate. Amazing to me that Steve's work in Europe has not registered with us -- us being Mennonite academia. You have done us a favor.

    I remember Steve at Goshen as an artist in search of a people and place who could access and thus appreciate his extraordinary gifts.
